Sara ♥ Lars – engagement session

Good morning, and Happy Monday everyone! So, my first week spent blogging in English – and I am so excited about the positive feedback I have received so far… Thank you so, so much. As my Danish readers know, this was quite an exciting step for me to take, but it looks like I made the right decision to move on and out into the world. I’m very happy indeed, and I can’t wait to see what this upcoming week will bring!

First off, here’s my one-week-in-English-birthday gift for all of you. The most adorable engagement session I have seen in a very long time, photographed by Finnish-Swedish/Canadian duo Jakob and Cole from Nordica Photography. Now, I know that it’s spring and we’re all tired of snow. But you must forgive me; something about big, woollen, patterned sweaters just melts my heart.

I love that these pictures are so simple and natural; so unpretentious. The pictures were taken in Skärså, an old fishing harbour near Söderhamn in Hälsingland in Sweden. Sara and Lars are from Skärså, and met when they were working together in a fish restaurant.

I love everything about snow, sweaters, winter and weddings together. If I could be 100% sure to have snow in Denmark, or I had won the lottery to invite all my guests abroad then I would have had a winter wedding, rather than summer … But I really enjoyed my day none the less. There is just something very aesthetic, magical, fairytale like and beautiful about winter weddings :-)

Love the depth of field in these images. The looking through the arms and legs captures are really great.

  3. I´m so happy you are now blogging in English! I found your blog about three weeks ago, when I just came home from Sweden and was looking for a bit of Nordic wedding inspiration. I loved your blog… But the google translation was not that great…
Well – turns out I just had to wait another week, and I can finally understand all your blog posts. Thanks! :)

Thank-you for switching to English! Like Teresa, I’ve been reading your blog for a while and my limited Danish+google wasn’t really working. Best of luck expanding into the world!
