Be prepared for lots and lots of detail inspiration and swoonworthy photographs with today’s wedding. Maria, the bride, infused the wedding with little, thoughtful elements which made the wedding to Adrian their own by celebrating the different corners of the world which are part of their lives – Canada, Denmark, Belgium and Austria. The couple designed the welcome programs, the menu cards and even the water bottles for their event – I am so in awe…

Love the idea of tying an old, Danish 1 krone coin to the dress with a little, blue ribbon…

The menu and the ceremony programs which double as fans on a warm summer’s day – both designed by the bride!

There is just always something so ethereal about a long veil. I love her dress, too, designed by Jesper Høvring.

Love the picture above, with the father’s expression when seeing his daughter, moments before leaving for the tiny chapel…

Sweet moments with the couple’s son…

There is something so Scandinavian summer about strawberries…

So many, sweet little details… a pillow from Zara Home is used as the ring pillow, and I really, really adore the little rice bags from PapermoonByKat on Etsy.

Sweet little crowns found at a local flower store are used as flowerpots for the table decorations:

I simply adore the little chalkboard tags on the water pitchers…:

A couple of words from Claire, who photographed the whole event so beautifully (be sure to check out the many, many more pictures in the gallery, too!):
“Maria and Adrian got married in the small town of Saint Michael im Lungau, Austria, where Maria’s parents (originally from Denmark) now live running their own wonderful guesthouse. Guests had already arrived from Denmark, where Maria is from, Canada, where Adrian is from, and Brussels, where they both live.
They got married in a tiny little chapel on top of the mountain in St Michael im Lungau, a small village in the mountains in Austria. The rest of the wedding took place at her parents family run hotel called Gasthof Stranachwirt. After the ceremony the guests congratulated the couple and their two boys were finally able to kiss their newlywed parents.
We all headed back to the guesthouse for champagne and strawberries, and as background music Maria had her grandmother’s old Grammophone playing old records.
The evening meal was superb, with 5 courses in total and then wedding cake. I loved the Danish kissing games throughout the evening which I had never seen before. (When one partner leaves the room, everyone gets to kiss the other partner).”
Thank you so very, very much for sending these picture, Claire, and many, many congratulations to Maria and Adrian on their wedding!
